Have questions about vehicle vinyl wraps? Find clear answers to the most common questions about installation, durability, maintenance and customisation.
A professionally installed wrap typically holds up for 5–7 years. Lifespan depends on the vinyl grade, how much time the vehicle spends outdoors, and how it's washed.
PPF is usually applied directly to paint rather than over a wrap, since it's designed to bond to a factory clear coat. If you want both, PPF typically goes on first, with wrap sections applied around or over it. We'll advise on layout during your consultation.
Vinyl wrap doesn't alter the vehicle mechanically, so it generally doesn't void a manufacturer's warranty. Some dealerships flag it during servicing purely as a note on file, worth a quick check with your dealer if you're unsure.
The cost varies depending on your vehicle's size, the type of wrap, design complexity and the amount of coverage required. Contact TT Pacific for a personalised, no-obligation quote based on your specific requirements.
No, full-front, high impact zone (bonnet, mirrors, leading bumper edge) and full-vehicle coverage are all options. Which one makes sense depends on your budget and how the vehicle is driven.
Day-to-day care is similar, pH-neutral wash, no brush tunnels, though PPF tolerates clay bar and light polishing better than coloured vinyl, since there's no colour layer to wear through.
Hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo and a microfibre cloth and skip automatic brush washes; the bristles can lift edges over time. Remove bird droppings, tree sap and fuel spills quickly, since they can stain vinyl if left for long. Shaded parking slows UV fading, particularly on darker colours.
Small areas, a scuff, a lifted edge, a scrape can usually be patched or reheated and resealed without stripping the full panel, provided the surrounding vinyl is in good condition.
Lower-grade film can yellow after several years of UV exposure. Better-grade and self-healing PPF is formulated to resist this, which is part of why it costs more upfront.
